PyAIM-t 0.6 Released!

PyAIM-t 0.6 is now available. Please note that it is sort of a stop-gap release that includes some important fixes, but also includes some very lightly tested groupchat code. I am releasing it pre-heavy testing per request of folk on the py-transports list. Major features are listed in the release notes. Enjoy! =)

PyICQ-t 0.7a and PyAIM-t 0.7c Released!

While both primarily bugfix releases, PyAIM-t also includes a lot of under the surface improvements and includes a batch of new features. Please see the release notes for more information! As always, there are still known issues with both, but these solve a lot of known problems. Please report any bugs you run into! (or comment on existing bugs)

PyICQ-t 0.7 Released!

After a long long wait, version 0.7 of PyICQ-t has been released! There are still known bugs with encoding but so much has changed since 0.6 that I can not list it all in a reasonable manner. Please see the NEWS file inside the dist for a more complete list of changes. This release should help everyone get on the same page and, more importantly, help everyone enjoy the slew of new features! Enjoy! And please report and bugs that you come across in the bug tracker here as BlatherSource.

PyAIM-t 0.7b Released!

This release fixes a batch of bugs that were reported via the mailing list. It also adds support for the JabberD2 component protocol, which provides a means for the transport to answer as multiple JIDs without the administrator having to configure every last one of the JIDs by hand.

PyAIM-t 0.7a Released!

PyAIM-t 0.7a is now available. Note that 0.7 was released last night and contained a nasty bug that caused it to crash upon startup if you did not have spool encryption enabled. The new release includes a slew of new features and bug fixes. Please see project release details for more information. One of the primary new features of this release is buddy icon support.

Jack Moffitt: Strophe.js 1.0.2 Released

I've just tagged and released Strophe.js 1.0.2. You can find it on the new Strophe.js site.

Please consider upgrading as soon as possible, as a security problem was found in Strophe.js 1.0.1. The DIGEST-MD5 SASL method used a constant client nonce due to a bug in Strophe's use of the underlying MD5 library. I don't know of any exploits for this bug, but it could compromise your site's security.

Much of the credit for this release goes to the many contributions and pull requests that people have sent in the last year. The community's effort continues to make Strophe.js better and better.

Remko Tronçon: Swift 1.0 Released

Finally! After 2 years of development, we’re happy to finally announce the first full release of the Swift IM client! In this first release, we have focused on building a user-friendly messaging client, with all the basic features you would typically need for having real-time conversations. In future versions (which are already in the works as we speak), we will be extending Swift with more features.

We would like to thank Isode for sponsoring time for Kevin to work on Swift, Flosoft for providing our download infrastructure, Dave Cridland for the logo, all the translators who helped us make Swift available in different languages, all the code contributors, all of whom should be listed on our About page, and all our beta testers for giving us feedback and bugreports throughout the whole development period!

PyAIM-t 0.8 Released!

Annnd right along side PyICQt, we have a PyAIMt release. Basically this is getting PyAIMt in sync with PyICQt. Same types of updates, fixes, etc.

PyICQ-t 0.8 Released!

I have just released a new version of PyICQ-t that includes quite a few bug fixes. It’s been a while since the last release and for a while I have been telling folk that SVN is more stable than the last release so I just wanted to get SVN packaged up in a nice way for folk to try out. One of the most important new features of this version is compatibility with Twisted 2.4 and friends.
